Nominations are now open for our election.  Below are the offices that are up for election and their job duties.  Read them over and call _____ at _____ to nominate members for the positions.

NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN

FOR MCFCCA’S “2009”

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

PRESIDENT— Presides over all meetings and generally supervises and controls the association.  All persons nominated should have been on the Board prior to being nominated for President.

VICE PRESIDENT — Fills in for the president when

necessary.

SECRETARY — Takes the minutes at the General

Meetings and Board Meetings.  She also sends out cards of  Thanks, Congratulation letters, etc. when requested.

TREASURER — Receives all money and makes payments for all approved expenses.  She keeps records of all transactions through out the year.  She should have a working knowledge of accounting bookkeeping and must be able to balance a bank statement.

REGIONAL DIRECTOR — (Monterey), (South County), (Hispanic in Salinas), is in charge of any and all activities in their region:  planning the monthly meetings and any other activity that the members want to do such as fundraisers, Week of the Young Child, etc.

REGIONAL SECRETARY —  (Monterey), (South County), (Hispanic in Salinas), acts as secretary and takes minutes at the monthly workshops in their region.

What’s involved with being on the Board?

We have 10 Board meetings and 10 workshops for each

region each year.  Each meeting and workshop lasts 2 hours. 

This means that you would be committing to 2 hours an evening, twice a month.  The other time commitment you have depends on which position you have;  some take very little time and others take a bit more.  An example:  The Secretary needs to be at the Board meetings to take notes — the extra time involved includes the time it takes to type up the minutes and get them to the Board members.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call Sandy Hall, 422-1452.

DIRECTIVA DE MCFCCA’S “2009”

PRESIDENTA— Preside en todas las reuniones y supervisa  y controla la asociación. Todas personas nombradas deben haber estado en la Junta Directiva anteriormente para ser nombrado.

VICE PRESIDENTA — Reemplaza al presidente cuando necesario

SECRETARIA — Toma los minutos en las Reuniones Generales y Reuniones de la Junta Directiva.  También tarmanda tarjetas de gracias, cartas de felicitación, etc. cuando es necesario.TESORERA — Recibe dinero y hace los pagos paro los gastos aprobados. Ella mantiena los registros de todas transacciones durante el año. Ella debe tener un conocimiento de trabajo de la teneduría de contabilidad y debe poder balanciar las cuentas del banco.

DIRECTORA REGIONAL-— (Monterey), (Condado del Sur), (Hispana en Salinas), Está en cargada en mantener y todas actividades en su región: planeando las reuniones mensuales y cualquier otra actividad necesario y que los miembros quieren—recojedores de fondos, La Semana de el Niño Joven, etc.

SECRETARIA REGIONAL —  (Monterey), (Condado del Sur), (Hispana en Salinas), Actúa como a secretaria y toma minutos en los talleres mensuales en su región.

What’s involved with being on the Board?Tenemos 10 reuniones de la Junta Directiva y 10 talleres para cada región cada año. Cada reunión y el taller dura 2 horas. Esto significa que usted estaría comprometiendo 2 horas dos veces al mes. El otro compromiso del tiempo que usted tiene depende en qual posición tiene; algunos toman muy poco tiempo y los otros toman un poco más. Un ejemplo: La secretaria tiene que estar en las reuniones de la Junta Directiva para tomar los minutos — el tiempo en excesso incluye el tiempo que toma para escribir los minutos y distribuir los minutos a los miembros de la Junta Directiva. Si usted tiene cualquiera pregunta, por favor llamen a cualquier miembro de la junta directiva.
